Background

Not a franchise. Not a marketing company that subs out the work. A BPI analyst and a 14-person crew who do nothing but insulation, all day, every day.

How the company started

Winter 2010. Carlos is running energy audits for a NYSERDA-contracted weatherization shop. Every third house on Long Island has R-11 fiberglass that settled 30 years ago, knob-and-tube still warm in the walls, and an attic you could see daylight through. Homeowners keep asking the same thing: “Why is my heating bill $600 a month in a 1,400-square-foot Cape?”

The national spray-foam franchises start rolling in. They quote $12,000 for a job that should be $7,000. They hand the NYSERDA paperwork back to the homeowner and say “you fill this out.” Half the time the rebate never gets claimed.

Carlos starts the company in 2011 with one installer, one spray rig, and a blower door. First jobs are attic blown-in cellulose retrofits in Massapequa and Hempstead. The pitch is simple: BPI-certified audit, honest scope, we file the rebate paperwork for you. By 2016 it is word of mouth across most of Nassau. By 2023 the crew is 14 people and 680 homes done.

The company still runs the same way. Carlos still does every audit walk-through. Elena handles the NYSERDA and EmPower+ submissions in-house. Javier runs the install crew. The installers are full-time employees with benefits, not day labor. And we handle the rebate paperwork — you just feel the difference.
